Essex Winter Series Awarded a 2025 Connecticut Arts Endowment Grant

2026 Concert Season

The state’s Department of Economic and Community Development announced the recipients of the 2025 Connecticut Arts Endowment Grants given through the Connecticut Office of the Arts, which also receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Essex Winter Series is grateful to once again be one of the 187 recipients of grants totaling $879,014, which are provided with the support of the Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts. For the upcoming year, the $700 amount received by EWS will help to support our season programming, which each year touches the lives of so many who attend our world-class classical and jazz concerts.

This arts funding, which provides the grantee the flexibility to use the funds where most needed, is essential for Essex Winter Series and other nonprofits. For EWS, the goal for nearly 50 years has been to bring the finest music to our community … not just a small sector, but the greater community. Susan Guernsey, President of the Essex Winter Series Board of Trustees, states that “This funding helps our organization to continue its mission of culturally enriching our local area.”
