Community Outreach has always been a foundational component of the Essex Winter Series mission. With the pandemic resulting in schools not open to outside visitors, our regular school performances were not possible. But just before the holiday break in December 2021, that changed. Finally! How pleased our Jazz Artistic Advisor Jeff Barnhart was to lead a group of talented musicians at two New London schools and see the delighted faces of the children who watched. Jeff sang vocals and played piano, and was joined by Anne Barnhart (vocals), Noel Kaletsky (reeds), Fred Vigorito (cornet), Lou Bocciarelli (bass), and Salvatore Ranniello (drums).
